Rialto成军于1997年，britpop阵容中幽暗而华丽的唯美分子，一支双鼓配备的6人乐队，演奏着深击人心的Dream Pop式的rock，营造忧伤颓废令人心碎的音乐氛围。
其实我不是很明白何谓Brit－pop，特地上网查找了一下，解释为Britain地区流行的一种摇滚曲风。和重金属摇滚不同，英式摇滚似乎更注重旋律和节奏，带有一种特别的伤感和无奈，它不会声嘶力竭得吼出最彻底的伤痛，只会在幽蓝鼓点中摄走你的魂魄。
Rialto是一支一直都红不起来的乐队，2001年就宣告解散了，也许是机缘巧合，从来不听摇滚的我在一张封尘的CD中发现苍凉的华美，就是这首《Monday Morning 5:19》。一对情侣在某时某刻分手，女孩去上班，男孩回家，洗了个澡，看了会电视……女孩还没回来，他出门等待，手上点着烟，天气很冷，街上没人，只有昏黄的路灯摇啊晃。他变换着姿势以松动麻痹的身体，想着女孩在做什么；想着到商店买包烟，还是买瓶牛奶喂她的猫；想着如果她一直不回来，是不是意味着他们之间要结束了……
没有华丽的歌词，没有撕心裂肺的挽留，很平静地一点点述说每个钟点发生的故事。
时针每走过一格，希望就少了一分，最后剩下渐渐散去的烟圈。
爱情就是爱过后残余的温度，碰不到，留不住。
Rialto的歌我只听过这一曲，没资格说他们是多么好或者多么差的乐队，但是这一曲已成为我心中经典，每次看到汽车旅馆昏暗的灯光，我就想起这首歌，想起孤单等待的身影。
